Women's Pelvic Floor Therapy for Every Stage of Life
You deserve to understand what's happening in your own body, and to have a plan that actually fixes it, not just manages it. Pelvic floor issues affect women at every stage of life, but they don't have to define yours. At Soulshine, we take the time to understand the full picture: not just the symptom, but the back, hips, core, movement, hormones, and lifestyle factors behind it.
Pelvic Floor Conditions We Treat
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to downplay it, explain it away, or feel embarrassed. We've heard it, we treat it, and we take it seriously
Pelvic Pain
Whether it shows up during sex, with your period, in your tailbone, hips, or as a constant ache you've learned to work around, pelvic pain is one of the most undertreated conditions in women's health. We assess the full picture to find what's driving your pain, including conditions like endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vaginismus, vulvodynia, tailbone pain (coccydynia), hip pain, & low back pain.
Bowel Dysfunction
Bowel dysfunction is one of the most common — and least talked about — issues we treat. If you're dealing with chronic constipation, straining, fecal urgency, or fecal incontinence, your pelvic floor is likely involved. We look at the full picture and treat the source, not just the symptom.
We treat constipation, fecal incontinence, fecal urgency, bowel dysfunction, pelvic floor and bowel dysfunction, defecatory dysfunction
Gender Affirming Care
At Soulshine, everyone is welcome. We provide care for all patients, including pre and post operative support for gender affirming surgical procedures.
Bladder & Urinary Dysfunction
We treat urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary dysfunction, & bladder leakage
Pelvic Organ Prolapse & Surgical Care
We treat bladder prolapse (cystocele), rectal prolapse (rectocele), hysterectomy care, post operative prolapse repair, endometriosis excision, and more.
Menopause & Perimenopause
The hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause can have a real impact on your pelvic floor — contributing to vaginal dryness, painful sex, increased bladder urgency, and prolapse.
Pelvic floor therapy is one of the most effective and underused tools available for managing these changes and maintaining your quality of life through every stage.
Fertility and Trying to Conceive (TTC)
If you’re navigating fertility, going through IUI or IVF, or suffering from recurrent miscarriages, there’s more support available than most providers have time to offer.
At Soulshine, our fertility sessions go beyond what a standard Reproductive Endocrinologist appointment covers. We take a thorough look at your cycle, your labs, and your full health history to identify factors that often get overlooked. Then we combine hands-on pelvic work with personalized lifestyle and supplement guidance to support your body from every angle. If you need a referral or a prescription, we'll help you advocate for it.
You shouldn't have to figure this out alone.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Most treatment stops at the symptom. We start there and keep going.
Your body does extraordinary things during pregnancy and after delivery — and it deserves extraordinary support at every stage. Whether you're managing pregnancy-related pain, preparing for birth, recovering from a vaginal delivery or C-section, or dealing with something that still doesn't feel right months later, we meet you exactly where you are.
From prenatal prep and birth positioning to C-section and perineal scar management, diastasis recti recovery, and returning to exercise postpartum, we treat the whole body and keep going until you feel like yourself again. Babies are always welcome — because we know getting here is sometimes the hardest part.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes — and we encourage it. If your symptoms include painful periods or endometriosis, it can actually be especially valuable for us to see you during your cycle. We never have to perform internal work if you're not comfortable, and there's plenty we can address externally. Don't let your period be a reason to reschedule.
-
No. Internal assessment is always optional and completely at your discretion. Hartley will walk you through what a first visit can involve when you schedule, and nothing happens without your consent. We can accomplish a great deal externally and will always work at your pace.
-
Of course. We want to remove every barrier to getting care. Soulshine has toys, snacks, and a changing table — and our team is happy to help keep little ones occupied. Babies and toddlers are always welcome.
-
It depends on what you're working through. At your first appointment, we'll give you a realistic picture of what a timeline looks like for your specific situation. Most patients come in once a week, and many see meaningful progress within the first few visits.
-
Most likely, yes. Traditional PT often focuses on the symptom and works within insurance-driven time limits. At Soulshine, we see one patient per hour, take the time to understand the full picture, and work until we've addressed the root cause — not just quieted it temporarily.
