A little about me. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Before graduate school I knew I wanted to heal others through movement and knowledge while treating the whole person, and physical therapy allows me to do just that. I never look just at the “problem”, but take into account the entire person. I also feel strongly that you should get one on one care with your therapist for 60 minutes (at least) and that you should have time to ask questions and learn how to manage your condition without feeling rushed or being put on a strict timeline. During physical therapy school I found a curiosity for pelvic health physical therapy, so I completed a clinical rotation in pelvic health, and since graduation I have pursued several pelvic health courses.
I have found a passion for educating others about their bodies, the pelvic floor, pregnancy, postpartum, pelvic pain, and other pelvic health topics. I feel strongly that knowledge is power, and I do my best to educate others in the community. I love not only treating patients but teaching workshops to empower others.
In addition to being a physical therapist and total pelvic health nerd, I enjoy being active as much as possible, cooking for friends and family, and watching my favorite sports teams (Go Gamecocks and Capitals!). I hail from the Washington, DC area, but Columbia has become my home, and I truly love serving this community.
I look forward to meeting and helping you through your pelvic health journey.
